If you find that stress has taken control of your work day there are some ways to keep it at bay and make your day a calm one. beginning at home before you even get to work is a good place to start, create a morning routine that is relaxing. Go green when it comes to making lunches for kids. When shopping for food and snacks looks for products that don't use a lot of packaging or ones that use recyclable materials. Find reusable lunch bags and drink containers to eliminate the waste of paper and plastic. If you do use plastics that won't be used again make sure to have the children wash them out and recycle them. You can find home made snack packs that kids can use over and over again instead of using plastic bags. Encourage your kids to save the left over food that they don't eat to add to a compost in your yard. Getting your kids involved with going green will help them understand how important it is to take care of our planet and be more conscious of the environment.

If you want to try something different this year instead of handing out candy, there are other options. There are a lot of prepackaged things to consider like fruit bars, cheese, and granola bars. You can now find a lot of Halloween themed things like stickers, temporary tattoos, and light sticks. You can find Halloween balloons to give out which can also help them be noticed in the dark while they are out trick or treating. You may want to get in a festive mood and create a wheel that they spin and they get whatever the wheel stops on. Whatever you decide to give out, make it fun.
