Traveling with Your Teen

Summer travel is here and traveling with your teen can be a challenge, but I've got some tips to keep in mind for before during and after your trip. Let your teen have a say in how many place you will see ad stop at, if they feel included they will be more willing to participate. have everyone prepare a playlist for the road. Set a limit to electronics use, for you too,, don't be a hypocrite. Pick a plan that works best for you and your family. Keep food and drinks in the car so you don't have to stop so much and keep your teen happy. If you are staying at a hotel don't make them clean up, allow them to keep their room just as they do at home. Have a set budget for your teen that they can spend while you're on vacation or have one for each place that you stop. Most importantly give them some freedom, create boundaries where they can travel by themselves, like a five block radius that they need to stay within. All of these things will help your vacation go smoothly and you'll get to have some fun and so will they!
