It is based on a unique inductive learning model which emphasizes collaboration, unique relationships, and situations so personal mastery can be achieved. The program has proven to be unusually effective in accommodating ethnic and socio-culture diversity.

Participant Workbook (e-book download)
by H. Stephen Glenn
Each participant is required to have the workbook, the Positive Discipline book, and the Raising Self-Reliant Children book. The workbook includes goals and objectives, activities, key concepts, and activities for each session. Reading assignments are given each week from the two texts.
Each participant should print out the parts to be covered that day and bring them to the workshop.
Raising Self-Reliant Children in a Self-Indulgent World
by H. Stephen Glenn & Jane Nelsen
A Gold Medal Award winner presented by Susan Kovalik and Associates--a breakthrough resource for parents and educators! This book discusses in detail the "Significant Seven Perceptions and Skills" necessary to help people reach their full potential. Fostering healthy attitudes and behaviors in children is what this book is all about. Those who think in terms of leniency versus strictness will be disappointed. This book goes beyond these issues to teach children to be responsible and self-reliant. No parent or educator can afford to ignore this groundbreaking work.
Positive Discipline - Revised 25th Anniversary Edition
by Jane Nelsen
All parents try to do their best but the best of intentions don't always produce the best results. Dr. Jane Nelsen, an experienced psychologist, educator, and mother, believes that children misbehave when they feel thwarted in their need to belong and in their need for love and attention.
